Me: Do. Not. Want.
Alec: That’s right. That’s not what we want. What do we want? We want to be, where the people are. We want to see, want to see them dancing.
THIS GUYYYY. I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE.

Ooph. Fun fun fun. Posting this mainly because I haven’t really posted personal stuff recently, and also because I just want this here for myself :P
1)Weekend started on….Wednesday. When I finished my horrible horrible internet homework and went out to the BBQ area in VDCN to have a bit of a mingler with some of my complex-mates and the CA’s (RA’s, but less authoritative). It was fun, and it was cool to get to know some of the people living around me.
2)Thursday was trip to dland with some hall mates! Priscilla, Makie, Eric and Cherrie! It was Makie’s and Cherrie’s FIRST TIME EVER TO DISNEYLAND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE 18!!!! (GASP!!!!!!) Since I’ve been the most and I have an annual pass, the tour guide position naturally fell onto me (no really, I’m not complimenting myself for once…it really sort of just fell to me. I wanted THEM to choose what we were going to do, but they kept looking towards me :P). We rode just about everything worthwhile for older people, except for Star Tours and Mattahorn…but both of them were closed by 1 -__-. Oh well. At the end, I sort of was leaning towards watching Fantasia instead of the Fireworks show, but things worked out so that we watched the fireworks instead, and boy am I glad that we chose that. Because it was Cherrie’s and Makie’s first time EVER, the fireworks just sort of had this magic on them (and me, I’ll admit. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the actual show) and it was cool to see both of them smile and awe at the choreography of the fireworks and music and the magic of disneyland. We then went to Rainforest Cafe, which NONE OF THEM HAVE EVER BEEN TO, and had a delicious dinner. I asked them if they enjoyed their first day EVER at dland, and I am uberly pleased to say that they loved it and were thinking of getting annual passes if they could afford it :P That’s what makes me love disneyland. Not the warm and happy feeling that I feel, but the feeling I get when I see others having the most magical time ever and finding themselves whisked away on a magic carpet ride :P.
3)On Friday, Raymond and Carrie visited Doanh and I, though I didn’t catch up to them until 12. Fun anecdote: I was about to head out to meet them at In N Out, and realized I had left my pills in Priscilla’s car the day beforehand. As I was waiting at the bus stop at the side of the street, I pulled out my phone and called her, thinking to myself how funny it would be if she just happened to drive past out of ALL times. Turns out she did. Ahahaha She actually passed me JUST as I was calling her and noticed me, but I didn’t notice her. She made a U turn, gave me the pills, and then said she could take me to the campus since she was headed that way, instead of me having to take the bus. :D Mark of a good day. So I get to In N Out, order animal style fries, wait for Raymond and Co to pick me up, and just as I get in the car, they ask “what’s fun around Irvine?” Of course I roll my eyes since Doanh is there and she goes to UCI too, but the first thing that pops into my head is Sky High, which for those who don’t know, is a building covered by trampolines (walls, floors, foam pits, dodgeball, arcade, etc) where you can pay $10/hour to jump. They all jump on the idea and we find out it’s just 10 minutes away, but of course we take 25 to get there -__- (my fault actually). We spent an hour there and got all sorts of hot and sweaty and tired and went back to UCI where I had a class in 30 minutes. I get there right on time, take a quiz, head back outside, where Raymond, Doanh and Carrie pick me up and we go to my place so I can finally take a shower and pack for home. We then head up the 405 and 605 to an endless $10 per person KBBQ place, where we eat to our hearts content and have loads of fun. We take Doanh and Carrie to Doanh’s house, head to my place, and I get dropped off. I then head out to Arcadia at 10 to watch Cowboys and Aliens with some church friends who went on a mission project on Saturday (today). I then headed back home, stopping by Raymond’s place to pick up letters that we were writing to all the people heading to the mission project, got home and wrote some letters, falling asleep at 2.
3)At 7:30 I woke up to go to the church in Arcadia and finish all the letters, where my sister, dad, and a bunch of other teenagers and adults headed off for a week to the middle of nowhere to work on a mission project (I didn’t because I’m too old. My last year was last year :P). My mom and I then headed out to do little chores around town, and then home so she could go to the gym and I could just hang around. Of course I forgot something in Raymond’s car the night before (isn’t it always the case?), so he comes over and invites me to go bike riding with him and Tonatiuh and Kathy to the Santa Fe Dam. I complain at first, but go since I don’t have anything else to do. We ride to the Dam, past the 210, and past Duarte. We were almost at that rock quarry in the mountains. We headed back to pick up Kathy (she waited at the lake) and head back home. I hung out at raymonds for a bit and then headed home where my gracious mom had cooked us dinner. We then sat down and watched HP6 since my mom is the worst movie watcher EVER and cannot understand ANYTHING to save her life. She got confused during GI Joe for goodness sake! And that movie was predictable to the next line. -__-. So we’re rewatching all the HP movies before we watch the last one and explaining all the concepts very slowly and basically to her.
4)Tomorrow, Sunday: My mom is working on refurbishing my Boy Scout Project at the church, using some of the Sunday School kids as child labor. I’m going to help her fix the fence up (it’s 3 years old now! :,]) and then head out to the Angeles Forest, to head up to a camp up there, where I’ll meet up with some camp buddies and talk about Jr High camp that finished 2 weeks ago. We usually do a debrief right after camp, but since it was so different this year, we couldn’t :/ Oh well! make up tomorrow! Then head back to Irvine for school on Monday. Oh! and some Session 2 kids will be there now (yay! new playthings!) along with the freshmen! This’ll be a fun session. Also, one of my church buds lent me the first seasons of the Tudors and Mad Men (and soon True Blood), and I’m uber excited to get started on those too :)
So yea. Fun week/weekend. Can’t wait till I start my job though :/ cause then I won’t feel like I’m spending money left and right….which I sort of am….
Amazing. Just…..amazing. I cried so much at the end of it. Great experience that I cannot put into words.
